Inns

Veli Paşa Hanı

Located in Çepni District, it was built by Veli Pasha, one of the Yozgat Beys. In the foundation deeds dated 2 Muharrem 1283 (1867) and 23 Muharrem 1303 (1887) in the archives of the General Directorate of Foundations, the location and surroundings of the inn were described and the foundation properties were avoided. The acres specified in the foundation deeds dated 1303 were completely burned down in 1914, and the current inn and its outbuildings were built by Şevket Bey, the grandson and trustee of the foundation, in accordance with the old practices, in 1915-16. Velipaşa Inn covers an area of 1000 m2 and was built on two floors. The mansion section facing only the front facade has three floors. The inn, which sets an example for the Ottoman Period inns in terms of both its plan and architecture, was built using wood and masonry materials. In the inn, which was operated as a hotel for many years, according to the survey project drawn by Architect Bülent ÇETİNOR in 1982, there were sections for horse carriages, warehouses and coffee houses around the stone courtyard on the lower floor.

Bath

Tacettin Paşa Hamamı

Pasha Bath, built by Taceddin İbrahim Pasha Bin Hacı Bey in 1487, was built in a double bath layout within the Ottoman bath architecture. The bath, whose men's and women's sections are symmetrical to each other, has survived to the present day preserving its original form. Each section of the Pasha Bath, which consists of cold, hot and private sections, is covered with tile-covered domes and the walls of the bath are built with rough chipped stone and rubble stone. The restoration works of the Pasha Bath in Kunduzhan District-Çarşı, which started in August 2007, were completed and put into service in April 2008.
